# Sign up and sign in

## Create a login

1. Open [capital.ai](https://capital.ai) and click **Create Account**.
2. Fill in your **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Email** and a **Password** (twice). If someone referred you, add their **Referral code**.
3. Click **Continue**.
4. We email you a code. Enter it as the **Verification Code** and click **Continue**. Didn't get it? Click **Resend Code**.

You'll go straight to [opening your account](https://docs.capital.ai/app/open-account.md).

> Capital AI is invite-only for now. If your email isn't let in yet, you'll be asked for a referral code or to **Join the waitlist**.

## Sign in

Enter your **Email** and **Password** and click **Sign In**. Forgot it? Click **Forgot Password**.

## Turn on two-factor authentication

1. Click your avatar, then **Settings**.
2. In **Two-Factor Authentication**, click **Add method** and confirm your password.
3. Choose an **authenticator app** or a **phone**, and follow the steps.

From then on, signing in asks you to **Select a 2FA method to sign in** and enter a code.
