# Transfer a brokerage account

Move holdings from another broker into your Capital AI brokerage account.

1. Click **Deposit**, then **Brokerage**.
2. On **Connect Account**, choose:
   * **Connect automatically:** sign in to your broker and we read the account for you.
   * **Transfer manually:** enter your broker's **DTC number** and your **Account number**, then click **Continue**.
3. On **Transfer Type**, choose:
   * **Full transfer:** everything in the account. It may be rejected if you hold assets that can't be transferred.
   * **Partial transfer:** only the positions you pick. Available when you connected automatically.
4. On **Review**, check the broker, account number and what's moving, then click **Submit transfer**.

You'll see **We received your request**. Transfers usually complete in 5–7 business days, and we'll email you along the way.
